In August of 2020 our larger CPV Price Guide featured an article on the 1984 Whitman CPVs [read that article here], which have 75 cent cover prices (versus their 60 cent US counterparts). These are quite rare in high grade: Since these are KIDS comics, very few exist in 9.0 or better, with Almost NO copies yet graded by CGC.
I have been tracking sales of these rare variants for quite some time, to observe the market premiums these CPVs command. Below, a Top Ten slideshow and full price guide are presented for the full list of Whitman 1984 CPVs, showing the Overstreet Price Guide 9.2 value for 60 cent copies (as of guide #52), followed by our guided 9.2 CPV value as of October 2022.
